The biggest scars of unawareness aren't just in the bigger life changing decisions. But rather in the smaller, day to day things, that compound.
It's important that I live everyday in enough self awareness to be kind and not cause harm to myself.
Today I woke up within a certain level of awareness.
Awareness enough to stop me from drinking fridge-cold milk. Since it knew my throat wasn't too well.
Awareness enough to ask myself to put on a hoodie, for the same reasons.
This is something that i'd never do in a rush, in worry, in fear, in unawareness.
The reason we're not kind to ourselves is that we're often tangled in the sea of distractions and fear that the world throws our way.
We must deploy active energy and effort at building a shell around us, that always brings us back to awareness. Self care will follow, and we'll live a cherishable life.
