I recently had a 3 hour long conversation with someone, about a lot of things and concerns that were brewing in my mind. This one particularly left me feeling much more at peace than when we started.
To a systems designer it might seem redundant, why share information that is known on both sides, again, verbally, in many different ways and perspectives.
It's because that puts the heart at ease, sharing your heart and concerns with someone, and hearing theirs, and knowing that both of you are on the same page.
I'm serious when say it, the problem seems 90% less serious right after you've shared it. And usually 100% more deal-with-able.
With the kind of benefits 'taking your heart out' brings, I would've expected that most of us would be out there exploiting it. Yet somehow, we hold back, put on armors and protection, to what end? I do not understand.
