Gosh I loved this movie a lot.
Did I ever mention how much I love simple stories told well.
This was an intense and well told story, no clutter in between.
It's appreciable how a lot of it is portrayed very close to situations that might occur in the real world. Pretty accurate portrayal.
Of course, I haven't mentioned, but I'm a sucker for cute simple love stories within these simple movies, love stories that don't mess things up a lot, but rather add a ton of emotional power to the characters's arc.
There's one moment in this entire movie that was my favourite.
The setup is such that the protagonist starts liking this lady.
And one day, almost unannounced, he goes all the way to her home, cities away, of course using a lot of his scarce time and money to go meet her.
That day she's not at home, and he only gets to talk to her over a call where he confesses his love for her.
And say "Abh tum bhi bol do, phir mai duniya palat dunga"

That, beloved, say you love me too, and I will turn the world upside down.
At this point she says no, he's rejected.. and falls downhill metaphorically.
But later in the movie comes a very crucial moment.
He's prepping for one of the toughest exams, and this is his last attempt. His last chance, at life, essentially.
Somehow they land in between an emotionally tense moment between the two of them.
And in that moment, she chooses to confess her love.
She holds him, and says..

Manoj, didn't you say you'll overturn the world if I say I love you.
I love you....
Now go win over the world!

This one moment changes his entire story.
He was probably about to tank in his last attempt.
He was out believing that he'd lost the girl too.
But this one moment, I believe is the most important, most beautiful and most emotionally packed moments.
Seeing her trust him, he could trust himself.
Not to be stereotypical here, to each their own
But this is how we men are, all it takes is one word from our person, and we would literally overturn the world.
I don't know how right or wrong this is in general, but I know I don't care any if someone in the world approves of me or not, but I know I care a lot about my person putting their trust and faith in me.
Of course we all knew he'd get through the exam. We were sitting in the movie to find the how.
This was the perfect how.
Through love.
This moment made the movie worth it for me.
